A New Chapter Begins: The Launch of the Omotesenke Domonkai Boston District!

The Omotesenke Domonkai Eastern Region is delighted to announce the establishment of a new district in Boston.

Showa Boston is home to a beautiful traditional Japanese tea room and an active Chanoyu (Japanese tea ceremony) club.

In preparation for the district's establishment, we have been offering opportunities for students and members of the greater Boston community to experience the art and spirit of Chanoyu.

This year, more than a dozen new students and approximately eight local community members have joined our tea activities, helping to build a growing circle of friendship and cultural exchange.

This weekend, we are excited to celebrate the official inauguration of the Boston District!

We look forward to fostering new connections through Chanoyu and continuing to share the beauty and traditions of Japanese tea culture with the Boston community.

表千家同門会米国東部支部 ボストン地区、いよいよ発足へ！

表千家同門会米国東部支部では、このたび新たにボストン地区を設立する運びとなりました。

昭和ボストンには素晴らしい茶室があり、茶の湯クラブの活動も盛んに行われています。

地区発足に向けた準備の一環として、学生の皆さんやボストン近郊にお住まいの方々に、茶の湯の魅力を体験していただく機会を設けてまいりました。

今年は新たに十数名の学生と、地域の方々約8名が茶の湯の活動に参加され、少しずつ交流の輪が広がっています。

そして、いよいよ今週末、ボストン地区の発足式を迎えます！

茶の湯を通じた新たなご縁と、日本文化のさらなる発展を心より楽しみにしております。
