Boston Practice Session

On June 18-19, as part of our ongoing efforts to expand Omotesenke Domonkai activities in the Boston area and to lay the groundwork for a future Boston Special District, we held a student practice session, a community tea gathering, and a general practice session at Showa Boston. We were pleased to welcome many participants to these events.

Following the previous session, we covered guest etiquette and basic tea ceremony practice in both the student practice and the general practice session. At the community tea gathering, we were delighted to welcome members of the local Boston community and deepen connections through tea and traditional sweets.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Showa Boston and all those who supported and contributed to these events. We look forward to continuing to share the spirit of Chanoyu and further developing Omotesenke activities in the Boston area.

6月18日・19日、ボストン地域における活動の発展と将来的な特別地区設立に向けた取り組みの一環として、昭和ボストンにおいて、昭和ボストン学生向け稽古、地域コミュニティ向け茶道体験、一般稽古を実施し、多くの方々にご参加いただきました。

前回に引き続き、学生向け稽古および一般稽古では、客作法や割稽古、運び点前などを中心に行いました。

また、地域コミュニティ向けの茶道体験においては、ボストンにお住まいの方々に参加いただき、お茶とお菓子を通じて、親睦を深めることができました。

本活動の実施にあたり、ご支援いただいた昭和ボストンをはじめ、関係者の皆さまに心より御礼申し上げます。

今後も、これらの活動を通じて、ボストン地域における茶の湯文化の普及と、活動のさらなる発展に努めてまいります。
