Boston Practice Sessions

Event Date: 5/29-30/2026

As part of our efforts to expand Omotesenke Domonkai activities in the Boston area and lay the foundation for a future Boston Special District, we held a student practice session, a community tea gathering, and a general practice session at Showa Boston.

Despite the limited preparation time, the events were very well attended. Through meaningful exchanges with students, local community members, and those interested in Chanoyu, we witnessed a strong enthusiasm for Japanese tea culture and great potential for future growth in the Boston area.

We were also encouraged by the many participants who expressed interest in continuing these activities, making this a truly rewarding and successful program.

Our sincere thanks go to Mr. and Mrs. Minoya, Mr. Mizogami, and the Showa Boston community for their generous support and cooperation.

We look forward to continuing to share the spirit of Chanoyu and strengthening Omotesenke activities in Boston.

表千家同門会東部支部では、ボストン地域における活動の発展と将来的な特別地区設立に向けた取り組みとして、昭和ボストンにて学生向け稽古、地域コミュニティ向け茶会、一般稽古を開催いたしました。

準備期間が限られていたにもかかわらず、多くの皆様にご参加いただき、学生や地域住民の方々との交流を通じて、ボストン地域における茶の湯文化への関心の高さと今後の大きな可能性を実感することができました。

参加者の皆様からも継続開催への期待の声をいただき、大変有意義な機会となりました。

今後もボストン地域における茶の湯文化の普及と活動の発展に努めてまいります。
