Event Date: 3/22/2026

On March 22, 2026, the Omotesenke Domonkai Eastern Region, USA, hosted a "Spring Tea Ceremony and Matcha Experience" at Japan Village in Brooklyn. Led by students of the Fort Hamilton High School Tea Ceremony Club, we welcomed approximately 86 guests and shared a moment of tea across generations.

During the event, we used a main tea bowl titled "Path of Hope," a yellow Kiseto ware piece, expressing our wish for a bright future for the younger generation. We also featured matcha bowls called "One World," in which the round bowl represents the Earth, symbolizing peace and connection across cultures, with designs of children from around the world holding hands.

We embraced the spirit of tea expressed in the words Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku (harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility), displayed in the scroll, as students and alumni came together as one team to host the event. We were deeply grateful to receive many warm and heartfelt comments from our guests.

We are especially happy that even first-time guests were able to enjoy the calm, beauty, and shared experience of tea.

We sincerely thank everyone who attended and supported this event.
