UW Chanoyu Club New School Year started. The club’s orientation was held on 9/30. About 15 students came to attend the presentation of the tea ceremony demonstration by the senior members. They met 3 times a month from 4:00 pm to 5:30pm on Fridays.
New club members each purchased their first fans and fukusa. The club president explained how to use them. The club members’ goal is to host a tea gathering on campus in March 2023.
シアトル ワシントン大学茶の湯クラブ活動
アメリカの新学年度が９月末に始まり、まずは、学内のオンラインで、オリエンテーションの告知。クラブの担当講師は日本に出張中でしたが、新部員募集の告知で集まった１５名にクラブのオリエンテーションを行いました。
その後は、月３回指定された教室で、クラブ活動を行いました。新入部員と昨年からの継続部員二つのグループにわかれて、お稽古をしています。
１０月にはシアトル日本庭園のお茶室にて、お茶室への入り方、茶のいただき方を学びました。
３月キャンパス内での茶会開催に向けてお稽古に励んでいます。
